ONE-DAY WORKSHOP ON MOBILE PROGRAMMING Organized by: Department of B.Sc.I.T. & IQAC Venue: Anand Vishwa Gurukul Senior Night College Date: Saturday, 12th July 2025 Time: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
To commemorate the successful completion of 10 remarkable years of Anand Vishwa Gurukul Senior Night College, a One-Day Workshop on Mobile Programming was organized on 12th July 2025 in collaboration with the Department of B.Sc.I.T. and IQAC.
The workshop commenced at 2:00 PM with a welcome address by Dr. Harshala Likhite, Principal of the college. She highlighted the college’s journey and the significance of practical learning. This was followed by insightful remarks by HOD Prof. Gautam Thorve and IQAC Coordinator Prof. Ashish Mulye, who emphasized the role of such workshops in skill development and academic growth.
The resource person for the session was Prof. Omprakash L. Mandge, Associate Professor and Course Coordinator at MET ICS. His engaging session covered core topics in mobile programming, including Android app development, user interface design, and industry trends. Through practical examples and live demonstrations, Prof. Mandge made the session interactive and informative.
A total of 126 B.Sc.I.T. students actively participated in the workshop. The students showed great interest and asked several questions, especially during the Q&A session at the end, which added to the value of the workshop.
Conclusion: The workshop was a resounding success and served as a perfect way to celebrate a decade of academic excellence at the institution. It provided students with hands-on exposure to mobile programming and current industry practices. The presence and expertise of Prof. Omprakash Mandge enriched the learning experience for all attendees. The combined efforts of the management, faculty, and students—especially the coordination by Prof. Ashish Mulye (IQAC Coordinator)—ensured the smooth execution of the event. We look forward to organizing more such events in the future to continue fostering academic and professional growth among our students.
